Step18 – Programming a Multus U3000 – Finish Milling Using Polar Coordinates

Within the eighteenth video of this 25-video series on programming a Multus U3000 with TopSolid'CAM, I demonstrate finish milling using polar coordinates.

After selecting side milling, TopSolid again illustrates one of its wonderful time-saving characteristics. All the relevant faces are identified by the system allowing me to select the appropriate settings to finish mill these faces all at once.

I prefer using polar coordinates for machining as we did in the previous video,Step18 - Programming a Multus U3000 - Finish Milling with Polar Coordinates so we continue down that path again here. Ultimately, simulation confirms that we are using the C axis appropriately and I feel comfortable moving on to the next operation needed for machining our part which will involve some 5-axis continuous milling.
