Within this final video of the 25-video series on programming a Multus U3000 with TopSolid'CAM the last Op 1 feature we need to program are radial tip drillings.
I first establish my drill settings just like I would for any other drilling. But, there are a number of these drillings around the circumference of our part – how will TopSolid find all of them? It’s simple, you just turn on multi-axis. We select four-axis radial, then go to the geometry button and allow TopSolid to include the partial cylinders that have been identified. By making this selection, TopSolid will find all the other needed drillings.
The same operation will apply for actually drilling all of these holes – of course saving you a great deal of programming time.
