Within the twentieth video of this 25-video series on programming a Multus U3000 with TopSolid'CAM, we will explore how TopSolid finds multiple angular solutions for our ID milling operation.
I start by selecting the detail we want to work on and notice right way that the selected tool is too big. So within this video demonstration, I show off TopSolid’s analysis function that allows us to quickly measure the drilling and therefore very quickly select the appropriate tool. Adding even more efficiency to our work, we select an 1/8” tool from our tool library that was created for another job.
One of the amazing things about TopSolid is that it will give you every angular solution the system finds. In this case, there are two different ways that we could successfully execute our ID milling. While simulation shows us that both options will lead to a successful operation, it is wonderful to have the option as we might find out as our project progresses that one angular solutions works better than the other within our overall project.
