How to activate link movement rules in a cam document
In order to use a link movement rules document you need to have either first created on and filled it with your rules, or received one with your machine definition from your TopSolid supplier. This article only speaks about how to activate link movement rules in a given machining document.
To activate a link movement rules document you need to access your Document Options Manager. This can be activated by going to the 7 icon in the top left corner of the TopSolid interface, then to View and finally select Options to display the Options manager. Then follow these steps to activate a specific set of link rules:
- Make sure you are in the Options Manager
- Expand the Cam folder
- Double left click on Link Movements
- Select the Special Inputs button
- Select the link rules document to use
- Select Green check to accept your selection
- Select Green check to apply your changes to this setting
If you are adding a link rules or changing the link rules document for an existing Machining document, please remember to rebuild your tool path!
Once your link movement rules have been applied, you can see which operations have been modified by your rules by activating the NC Operations Managers "Show Modified Link Movements" option as seen in the image.
